Red Room

The Old Red Lion is a delicious little grade II listed pub on Kennington Park Road. Built in the 1930’s but designed in a traditional Tudor style with a courtyard garden, conservatory and dark wood bar area it’s filled to the brim with comfy furniture and quirky decorations.  Inside, the pub is divided in two by a central bar, on one side the main lounge area and on the other, accessed through a low door, is the Red Room. Perfect for dinner parties and family gatherings, the room has it’s own bar and entrance out on to the road and can seat around 20 diners in one sitting. It is overlooked by the kitchen where the chef works his magic, so if you are looking for a scrumptious little venue that has bags of character and one that will definitely impress, you may well just have found it.

Capacity	40 Standing for buffet, 30 seated for dinner on separate tables.
Costs & Payment	No hire fee but a £100 deposit must be paid in advance for parties of over 25 people on Fridays and Saturdays.
	Bookings no later than 7pm. Deposit refundable based on filling the room within 45mins of the reservation time.
Food	We can cater for approx 30 people for a sit down dinner. We also offer Buffets and Canapés and Host Your Own Roast menu (upon request).
	Buffet, Canapes and host your own roast must be ordered in advance, bar snacks and restaurant menu can be ordered on the night.
	We do not allow outside catering apart from wedding or birthday cakes to be brought into the building.
Drinks	You have your own bar within the room (part of the main bar) and you are welcome to order drinks from there, but we will also take pre orders on wines if you would like them on the table for your guests.
Entertainment	As the room is used predominately for dining we are not able to run a separate system from the main bar area.
Timings	The Room is available for hire during pub opening times
	No under 18s allowed after 7pm.
Access	Own door onto high street, one small step. Doors at either end of the bar into main bar area.
	The doors within this room are not conducive to wheelchairs, but access is available to the disabled toilet for non wheel chair users.
